Intelligence and Temperament at its best!
When breeding a purebred dog, one's aim must be to contribute to the breed for future generations. The breed standard and health tests should be the focus point. One should love the breed as a companion and know the qualities, purpose, and history of the breed. It is also our responsibility to guide and educate the public about our chosen breed and its requirements. Dogs are not simply commodities!
Being an ethical and responsible breeder doesn't come overnight. In order to show integrity as a person and as a breeder, I have learnt never to make hasty decisions. Instead, I have tried to take my time to decide where I want to go with my line, and which male and female will match each other best to complement the breed and its awesome qualities.
We are very fortunate, in our modern world, that we have health and genetic tests that were not always available many centuries ago - this gives us the best opportunity to breed healthy dogs and contribute for many generations to come. Being a breeder, I feel I have a responsibility not only to my dogs but also to their wellbeing.
The Labrador Retriever is a special dog who loves unconditionally and also deserves a special, loving family who will protect, love and care for them. They are incredibly intelligent and eager to please, and have the temperament to serve as family dog, guide dog, working dog, and loyal companion. This is a breed on which you can become hooked from the start!
I have recently done a mating with Ablesing Soos Dinamiet of Inkadien & Ch. Dimeche Ciao Bella of Rowania. Bella will be scanned within the next few weeks to discover if we have good news. This mating has been done with great consideration and planning and is going to make an enormous impact on my kennel and, hopefully, to our breed.
