Multi BIS Ch Aviva T'Scaramouche (Imp Aust.)

2011 was a magnificent year for Rogue:
- No.1 Dog All Breeds (AnimalTalk Top 100)
- AHASA Afghan of the Year
- KUSA Reserve Showdog of the year
- KUSA National Afghan Hound
- Multi BIS winner (8x during 2011)
- Sire of multiple champions
Rogue was bred by Ros Bacich, who I greatly admire and respect. He is sired by the world famous Grand Ch. Seistans Heart T Beat (Imp USA), who has sired 41 Champions in 11 different countries, won 32 All-breed BIS wins in his career and was NSW No.1 All-breeds (Pal/OZ Dog System) in 2002.
Like father like son… Rogue is a true showman, he loves to show off, he is known for his antics in the Best in Show ring. He psychs himself up so that by the time we get to BIS he just bursts with excitement and will often nip his mum's butt or jump in the air, he is also very vocal in the ring, telling all the other dogs around he is ‘king'! Rogue shows with all his heart and I know he does it for me. Living with him is a dream come true, he makes me laugh every day and I never get tired of watching him play with the other dogs. He is powerful yet agile, full of fun and love - a once-in-a-lifetime dog.
Rogue's first shows for 2011 were at the Wits/Tvl Midlands/ Pretoria weekend, where he won 3 groups and 1 BIS. His winning ways continued throughout the year. Six of his 8 All-breeds BIS wins were awarded by international judges from Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, Canada, Ireland and Columbia, and 7 of his 8 BIS wins were by judges who weren't his Group judge! Most of his BIS wins during the year were at shows with very large entries.
One of the biggest thrills for me was that three of his children stood beside him to take Reserve Best of Breed during the year - Scaramouche A Kind of Magic (owned by Jeanne Bloem), Ch Scaramouche Radio Ga Ga and Ch Scaramouche Show Must Go On.
With the help of family & friends, Rogue ended the year as No.1 All-breeds (AnimalTalk Top 100). I want to thank all the people who helped us achieve this - my daughter Caitlin who has been so supportive and understanding, my parents who have helped me financially and encouraged me all the way, Sue Mitchell – if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be involved in Afghans today; you have been my mentor and inspiration from day 1. To all the friends that have travelled with me to shows and put us up in their homes I really appreciate your hospitality and support. I would like to thank all our friends in and out the ring for their continued support especially the Afghan Hound community. Thank you to the judges who recognised all Rogue's outstanding qualities. Last but not least we thank Ros Bacich for sending Rogue to South Africa, for her constant support, encouragement, advice and friendship. His award really was a team effort and Team Rogue has certainly grown this year – we thank you all!
Scaramouche Afghan Hounds are proudly sponsored by Montego for 2012, we look forward to this new venture!
