Ch. Rossbourne Noel of Gavalat FQ NHR
Born:
15 December 2006
Gold male
Kendo was bred by Mrs Jean Burnett in West Yorkshire. The Rossbourne Kennel was first registered in 1938 and has been producing outstanding hunting dogs and show dogs for 73 years. Kendo was imported from the UK in 2007 and was my third dog imported from the Rossbourne Kennel.
Kendo's show results speak for themselves, but he is also a working Gundog and has done well in the field by winning two Junior Stakes and a Maiden Stake. He now competes in the Novice Stake.
Kendo is truly a dual-purpose Golden and was awarded the Dual Purpose Trophy presented by the Golden Retriever Club in the Transvaal. His temperament is very gentle and he is an easy and relaxed dog to live with. He also sired some typical Golden puppies, passing on his excellent conformation and abilities.
Thank you, Jean, for entrusting me with this outstanding boy from your final litter. I also thank the judges who praised him so highly.
Kendo is currently standing in the Top 100 as the best Golden Retriever in the country.
As a puppy and a Junior Kendo was awarded numerous BPIG and BJIG awards. He won BJIS at the CGC Championship show 2008 under Mr Thirlwell.
Kendo has qualified for WP Top Dog since 2007 by consistently winning BOB and being awarded Group placings.
At championship shows, the year ended off on a high note:
At the Breede Rivier Vallei Kennel Club, he was awarded BOB and first in Group under Mrs. Beinke (Australia)
At the FCI he was awarded excellent rating, male CACIB, BOB and Group 8 under Mr Schepers (Netherlands)
At the Cape Gundog Club he was awarded BOB and went BIS under Mr M Armstrong (UK)
At the Hottentots-Holland Kennel Club he won BOB and was placed 2nd in Group under Mr Thirlwell (UK)
At the Western Province Kennel Club he gained BOB and a second place in the Group under the Canadian Judge
Kendo is also a excellent field worker, having won two consecutive Junior Stakes and a Gun's Choice.
Kendo has also been the recipient of the trophy awarded by the Transvaal Golden Retriever Club for Best Dual Purpose Golden. |
