Thomas Becht joined the Dobermann Verein in 1989 at the age of 30. In the following years he became an excellent handler in national and international Sieger trials of a number of dogs to SchH/IPOIII level. He is the owner of a well known German kennel and has bred, amongst others, DV-Jugendsieger and Sieger, Europa Jugendsieger, Spanish Dobermann Club winner as well as a World Sieger.

Thomas was the founding member of the DV division Sudpfalz in 2001 and became Training Warden for DV division Sudpfalz in the same year. He has organised the following major shows - DV Sieger Show 2005, IDC Weltmeisterschaft 2005 as well as the Deutsche Meisterschaft in 2006.

In 2005 Thomas was elected as the chairman of Landesgruppen Rhein-Neckar and became Breed Warden for DV division Sudpfalz in 2007. He is a DV Specialist Breed and ZTP Judge and has been a DV assailant since 2007. Thomas was elected as Vice President of the Dobermann Verein in 2007.
