Marieann and Steve Gladstone have bred under the Aragorn prefix for 35 years and have produced dogs earning over 100 AKC titles in all disciplines, including over 50 owner/handled/bred-by Champions. The Aragorn line has been a foundation to many other Cardigan bloodlines. They also have had an Australian Shepherd and German Shepherds, who were finished AKC champions.

Marieann applied to judge Cardigans in 1997 and is approved to judge the Herding Group, Best in Show, several Hound, Terrier and Toy breeds. International judging assignments have included appointments at all breed and specialty shows in England, Canada, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Wales and Holland. She has judged the Bred-By Herding Group at the AKC/Eukanuba show.

Marieann is currently Chair of the CWCCA Judges Education Committee, and regularly conducts breeder and judge educational seminars for the club.
