Under no circumstances does SHOWDOGS prescribe that these videos are the definitive blueprints to which all breeds must be judged in South Africa. No, the videos are not necessarily perfect. They are old AKC videos - some are good, some are very different from the standards we follow in South Africa, but in all there is at least something new to be learned. Their purpose is to offer one small resource to aid the understanding of these breeds, which readers will, hopefully, analyse against other material they read or study. It's perfectly normal to find reading resources that one likes, and some that one doesn't like in the same way that readers will be able to pick out the facts from the fantasy and the applicable from the inapplicable.
