How it works

~ Entry to this competition is free and automatic
~ The competition is run during the championship show season, ie. February - November each year
~ Points will be earned at all KUSA-affiliated breed championship shows, including All-breeds, Group, Part-group, Specialty shows, as well as the KUSA Nationals and FCI CACIB shows.
~ Points will be allocated to Best of Breed winners equal to the number of dogs entered in the breed (eg. if there are 14 dogs entered in the breed, the Best of Breed winner earns 14 points)
~ Points are gathered from the breed breakdowns, marked catalogues and results submitted to SHOWDOGS by show-holding club committees
~ Points are not recorded if show-holding clubs fail to submit results for publishing within a reasonable time frame
~ Results will not be accepted from exhibitors or unofficial sources. If the relevant show results have not yet been submitted to SHOWDOGS by the show-holding club for publishing on this website, exhibitors are advised to remind committees to do so without delay to ensure the relevant points are calculated
~ The onus is on exhibitors to check points in the ratings and contact SHOWDOGS immediately to amend errors or omissions as soon as possible
~ The winners in each breed will be declared the year's Breed Winners
~ In the event of a tie, the owners of these exhibits will be contacted to provide proof of Reserve Best of Breed awards, the greater number of which shall decide the final winner. If this outcome is inconclusive, the award will be shared
~ While every possible care is taken during the recording of results and points, SHOWDOGS assumes no responsibility or liability for exhibitors who wish to kill each other in their endeavour to win
