On behalf of the Committee and myself I would like to welcome you to and your dog(s) to our 101 st Annual Championship Show.

Firstly a special word of welcome to our overseas Judges. We hope that you enjoy your stay in South Africa. To our South African Judges and Ring Stewards, some of whom have travelled long distances to be with us, we thank you for your time and expertise and hope you enjoy your day.

As always special thanks must go to each and every exhibitor for entering our show. With the ever increasing costs of travelling, especially for those of you travelling long distances, all dog clubs are unfortunately suffering from decreases in show entries and we thank you for your continued support of our show and the July weekend as a whole. We hope that we have provided you with an attractive panel of judges and that you will have a rewarding and enjoyable day.

To the other show holding Committees thank you for your support and good luck for your shows. It is only by working together that we make the July weekend the noteworthy event that it is.

Last, but certainly by no means least, a big thank you to our sponsor EUKANUBA for all their support and tremendous sponsorship of our show. Without them we would not be able to put on the quality show that has come to be expected of us.

We are so proud to be the “SHOWDOGS SHOW OF THE YEAR 2007” and would like to thank all of you for voting D&D last year. We hope that you will once again share an enjoyable day with us.

A big thanks and welcome to all who have travelled far to support our show weekend, always know that our Exhibitors are number 1 on our priority list.

We have a wonderful line up of judges for you and hope you go away feeling you have been fairly judged, at the end of the day that is all an exhibitor can ask for.

D&D are once again privileged to share the weekend with Pietermaritzburg Kennel Club, as well as the Terrier Club of Natal, Staffordshire Club, Bull Terrier Club, Utility Club, Toy Club, Gundog Club, Golden Retriever Club and Doberman Club. We have worked closely as a team to bring you an enjoyable show weekend.

I would like to once again ask support from all the people whose dogs are entered to please clean up and make sure you have collected all your unwanted dog hair as well as picking up your doggy doo and dispose of them in the bags provided. I will always provide the manpower to clean up, but out of respect for one another and the grounds themselves, it would be appreciated if we could at least show the members of the public that we do care.
